I’m directing mm:museum [Media Majlis] at Northwestern Qatar in Doha, a museum opened in 2018 to focus and deliver exhibitions, off-site projects and initiatives at the intersection of art, media and technology.

I’m active on the GCC region since a number of years - curating Art Dubai, consulting with the Visual Art Commission of the KSA, and now directing mm:museum which is a joint venture between Northwestern and Qatar Foundation. I have many contacts, professional and personal, in Dubai and I’m often staying in the city. Joining 1833 would be a natural fit for my work and passions, and bringing and hosting people there would be a natural development!

I’m a cultural entrepreneur and curator of visual art, digital platforms and cult+tech initiatives. I co-curated Art Dubai Digital 2024, the Web to Verse ongoing evolving exhibition, the program of Mostyn contemporary art museum in the UK, Dying Yi at Chateau Lacoste in France, and in the last decade curated four national pavilions and collateral events at the Venice Art Biennial (2013, 2015, 2017, 2022) as well as the art biennials Sequences VII in Iceland and Manifesta 8 in Spain.
