Now doing what i love to, in the process of establishing a new life foundation
Why would you want to join 1833/١٨٣٣?
I’m a 33-year-old Emirati woman from a traditional Abu Dhabi family. Three years ago, I made the choice to leave home and move to Dubai — not because it was easy, but because it felt more like me. I wanted independence. My family didn’t take it well, especially because I’m not married — and I’m not interested in doing it the traditional way. I want to build a life that mirrors who I am, then create a family from there, on my terms.
I’m a surgeon and an artist — currently in postgraduate training, juggling a part-time job, and building my own jewelry brand, Shams. My designs are inspired by ancient symbols and lost stories — a way to reconnect with meaning and express identity through beauty and depth. I see creativity and surgery as two sides of the same coin — both are acts of precision, care, and transformation.
One of the most defining moments in my life was joining the UAE field hospital in Gaza. Working through war humbled me. It reminded me of what truly matters — people, healing, and speaking up for what’s right. I’m passionate about humanitarian work and deeply vocal about equality and feminism — because I’ve lived the cost of silence.
I’m all about communities — not just being in one, but building one. I believe in safe, real spaces where people can be fully seen — and that’s what I’m hoping to find here. A tribe of artists who feel deeply, create honestly, and lift each other up. That’s what I’m seeking: an art community to belong to, and to grow with.
