Questions

What is your current career stage and what can help you unlock your next level?
Right now, I’m in a very steady stage in my career. I started my film production house back in 2018, and ever since, I’ve been telling stories here in the UAE, stories rooted in the region, in people’s emotions, and in causes that matter. Over the years, I’ve developed a clearer sense of my creative voice and the kind of impact I want my work to have. What I’m seeking now is a way to scale that impact, whether through larger platforms, deeper collaborations, or new kinds of projects that push my vision further. I’d love to connect with people who share a belief in meaningful, emotional, and visually strong storytelling. I’m ready for that next chapter, but I want to step into it with intention, aligned with the values and voice I’ve built so far.
Why would you want to join 1833/١٨٣٣?
I’m really excited about the possibility of joining 1833. As a filmmaker and visual storyteller based in the UAE, I’m always drawn to spaces that bring together creative, curious, and thoughtful individuals, and 1833 feels like just that. I’ve attended a few events and always left feeling inspired by the quality of conversations and the kind of community you’re building. I was introduced to the club through Sara Al Nafisi, who is a current member of the club.. Her presence and the events I’ve experienced affirmed that this is a space where meaningful connections are made, and that’s something I value deeply. To me, 1833 is more than a network—it’s a space for creative exchange and collective growth, and I’d be honored to be part of that.
What are your creative interests? How do you spend your free time?
My creative interests revolve around visual storytelling, stories that touch people’s hearts and maybe even shift perspectives. I’m a filmmaker at heart, and photography has always been part of that journey. I love capturing fleeting moments, chasing light, and telling stories that matter—stories that raise awareness, spark something in people, or simply make them feel seen. In my free time, I usually turn to film photography. There’s something special about the slower, more intentional process of working with film, whether it’s stills or motion. I enjoy experimenting with old cameras, exploring different formats, and seeing how the imperfections add to the emotion of the image. It’s where I recharge and stay connected to why I create in the first place.
