What is your current career stage and what can help you unlock your next level?
I'm responsible for leading the expansion of our innovation hub into Saudi Arabia, creating our first year strategy, finding and building out our space which launched last month, and understanding the eco-system while building valuable relationships and networks for the hub. I love what I do, but right now I need to understand better negotiation and closing bigger monetary deals. In which, I'd need to make a career move to do but in the long term will better support the partnerships and collaborations I can create and build.
Why would you want to join 1833/١٨٣٣?
Personally, I resonate with the mission of 1833, and believe that others in the community will be the same. Most communities are created with the intention just to bring people together and that should make magic... which it can but it's more rare and the value add to the community slowly over time always diminishes. It's one of the first communities I see that puts building partnerships and outcomes of encounters at the core of what it does, and selects the people to ensure this outcome is achieved. For me there is a greater purpose and I want IN!
I want to use my membership to create new opportunities and partnerships across industries that I haven't done before. There is so much yet that hasn't been done when looking at technology applied through the artistic lenses and I want to explore the multitude of collaborations to help bring my knowledge and network to more people. I'd want to share my recent learnings of how to do business in Saudi and the opportunities there to the community. Utilise my own network to build and support the community on not only exploring opportunities but having the right network that can make these partnerships happen and be executed. I want to see magic happen!
What are your creative interests? How do you spend your free time?
It's often spent having a coffee with an entrepreneur or beauty/fashion business looking to seek advice or investment. Right now I am also working on a podcast to shed light on building a startup in the Middle East. Attending the night time scene in Saudi. Building my network meeting ambitious people in any industry or any walk of life. I'm the kind of person you approach if you're looking for a person in an industry and you've a particular need, I can dive into my goodie bag of connections to see what I have. My love for networking stems from curiosity of people and bringing people together to make things happen!
