Come back to the Middle East after 5 years in Amsterdam to be back in region. As an Iraqi who’s never lived in Iraq I have no home to go back to so Dubai brings that together for me with people, experiences and professionally being in the region. Next stage is how to be impactful on a board level as someone who does not like to self promote uselessly it’s hard to find that role where I want to have impact in companies sharing what I’ve learned tackling regulatory challenges especially where this is increasingly the issue most companies or industries face at all sizes Also, growing The Nadi hopefully eventually have its own physical space where we can bring all generations together to have different experiences and shared community

All of us who have lived away from our homes are craving a sense of rootedness and community and finding our people, especially when we don’t have the opportunity to live in our own home countries with our families. Seeing a community that gets created, that is not centered around something to create influence on social media, but actually a true sense of community is something I would love to be a part of.

Badly attempting to learn Tennis (taking up racket sports in your 40s is hard!) , exploring art galleries collecting young Eastern art (anything East of Europe :)), interiors and trying to find anything remotely vintage in Dubai but failing at finding it
