Questions

What is your current career stage and what can help you unlock your next level?
I am actively in the process of pursuing dream projects and endeavors and seek to actively contribute and share in positive, parallel efforts. My written work, present endeavors, and related consulting work is enriching - I now seek to forge the social, meaningful connections that can only occur through conversation.
Why would you want to join 1833/١٨٣٣?
I would hope to participate in the exciting conversations underway at 1833, and to contribute positively and energetically where my work may be of value. It is my understanding that 1833 is poised to become a thriving heart - one that aligns with my ethic, and I hope to join an active environment of positive and upwardly-mobile people who think outside of their disciplines and embrace trans-disciplinary modes of business, inquiry, and collaboration.
What are your creative interests? How do you spend your free time?
In addition to being an educator during an exciting phase of creative inquiry across the nation, I maintain a studio - Project Norsou - where my projects are postured to respond to issues of climate change, global shifts, and modern conservation movements. These projects span scales - they use research, advocacy, and design to investigate issues at the confluence of artefacts, architecture, and urban design in a range of global contexts. Foundational to my projects and work is the belief that spaces, communities, and regions can be conceptualized, designed, and built differently in order to transfigure, support, and transmute local ecologies without compromise. In recent years, I have spent time building pipelines to enable international, strategic design and program collaborations for uniquely positioned buildings and institutions. In many scenarios, my published writing helps support and posture these projects. I am passionate about doing work that embodies the operational paradigm of actionable idealism while leveraging public awareness to drive change. This is how I largely spend free time - along with spending time studying and enjoying films that focus on diverse, emotional depictions of land and ecology.
