Join 1833's Escape to Oman, April 14-18, and discover the country not simply through its landscapes, but through the people who bring them to life.

Beginning on the coast and ending in the rose-covered mountains of Jebel Akhdar, we'll journey through ancient oasis settlements, family homes, workshops, and shared tables, meeting artists, makers, shepherds, and storytellers along the way. Highlights include time with surrealist artist Mimoon and two Communal Table experiences: one with Chef Dina Maki, whose cooking is rooted in memory and place, and another with Chef Asayel AlMarzooqi, whose floral-inspired cuisine captures the spirit of the rose harvest.

More than a trip, it's a shared story shaped by meaningful encounters, generous hospitality, and the people who make Oman unforgettable.

Sarah AlHosani is a travel curator and the founder of We Are Commons (WAC), a travel platform built on the belief that the most meaningful ways to experience a destination are shaped not only by the places we visit, but by the people who reveal them.

Over the past four years, Sarah has designed and led bespoke and adventure journeys with Beyond with You, where she developed an approach to travel rooted in cultural immersion, meaningful encounters, and experiences created in collaboration with local communities, artists, makers, and storytellers.

Through WAC, Sarah curates journeys that invite travellers to experience destinations from within, shaped by the people, traditions, and stories that give each place its character. While landscapes may draw us in, it is the people we meet, the conversations we share, and the perspectives we encounter that give a journey its lasting meaning.
