Amirah & Wafa Tajdin

Wafa Tajdin (producer) and Amirah Tajdin (director) are Swahili-Omani sisters with over 15 years of experience in film, documentary, and commercial production. They have established themselves as prominent voices in both regional and international storytelling. Amirah is represented by Radical Media London and Scheme Engine New York for her global directing work.
Their projects have screened at leading festivals worldwide, including Sundance (In Competition), Cannes Directors’ Fortnight, Tribeca (In Competition), and the BFI London Film Festival. Commercially, they have collaborated with global brands such as Estée Lauder, Maybelline, Spanx, Farfetch, Cadillac, Dubai Tourism, Mars Chocolates, Pepsi, Irthi Council, the UAE Armed Forces, and Gucci.
Beyond filmmaking, the sisters are the founders of Lulu and the Beanstalk, an independent bookstore and café at ICD Brookfield Place, Dubai. The space is a tribute to their grandmother Lulu, whose love of storytelling continues to inspire their creative practice.
