Ahmad Ali Swaid is a British-born magazine editor and cultural curator of Lebanese and Sierra Leonean descent. Currently based in Dubai, he is the Editor-in-Chief of Dazed MENA and formerly held the same position at GQ Middle East. Known for his sharp editorial eye and commitment to storytelling that bridges regional depth with global relevance, Swaid has become one of the most influential figures shaping fashion and culture. With a reputation for platforming underrepresented voices and creating editorial moments that feel both intimate and iconic, Swaid is widely recognized for covers that centre artists, activists, and cultural disruptors—from Motaz Azaiza to Mohammed El-Kurd and Indya Moore. His approach weaves personal memory with urgency.

Before taking the helm at GQ Middle East in 2022, Swaid served as Head of Content at Dazed Media in London, where he led creative strategy across Dazed, AnOther Magazine, Dazed Beauty, Nowness, and Dazed Studio.
